With Spring comes the Honey Bee

Anemones are starting to flower. More nectar and pollen for the bees :)
I'm  getting bees this week :) I have spoken to the beekeeper who is going to sell two whole colonies to me this Saturday and he told me to bring two hives which can accommodate 20 frames EACH ! I told him that beeks usually sell colonies on 10 frames but he said these two colonies are very strong and I will get 20 frames with each :) Since I've built only 2 single transport boxes for frames I had to make two more supers. And this is the finished product ready to bring bees home :)
I will get the bees Saturday evening and will move them into the Top Bar Hives on Sunday. I will do the chop'n'crop method to fit the top bar hive sloped shape.
Che Guebee Apiary got a brand new sign :)

For eg. strong wind could move your TBH from this brick, or you by accident
